While I am a happily married 60+ year old woman, I was on the dating market for several pre-online dating years, and the experience the author describes was much the same. Whatever age or gender you are, it is hard to meet and sustain a meaningful relationship with another person...and with older age, comes more baggage. I give him all the credit in the world for giving so many of these women not only a chance to correspond over time online, then get to know them better via telephone, and then take them out to a nice dinner. So many of my girlfriends who are relying on meeting men through online dating usually end up on a 10-20 minute coffee break...they may as well do that at work or home. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and found it to be both honest and humorous at the same time...well done!Product details

I have always wondered if these online dating services are really effective. The Author takes you through his experiences using an online dating service. What I learned was you meet "interesting" people on them and I am very happy I am married. I founfd the book an easy read and spellbinding enough that I finished it in 2 days. I would highly recommend it to anyone contemplating online dating as well as anyone who likes good story telling.
This book is an HONEST look at the over-60 dating scene. If you have ever joined a dating site, you will enjoy this book. Bob's experience is not much different than mine, which only goes to show you people are people. If anyone is offended after reading this book I suspect they may have either had no experience with online dating, or perhaps have been less than honest with their own online "profile".
This 60 year old needs to put his big boy pants on, take it like a man, and acknowledge that these women were just not that into HIM. 73 women? and 73 failed relataionships, with one common denominator - the author!
Bob Moody wrote a truthful look at what he experienced in his online dating. I enjoy his tongue in cheek descriptions about what all goes on. It is true there are great people online and some really not so great you wonder why the heck you're bothering. I give him credit for keeping a log and making it into something positive. It's an easy read and very entertaining. For the singles out there it's a reminder to all....date with integrity and you'll have no regrets. AKA Kelly...and yes we remain friends. p.s. also loved his Dirt Nap Chase book.
This book is a humorous and straightforward narrative about the trials and tribulations of on-line dating at 60, which everyone now knows is the new 40. The author's witty description of the steady stream of prospects and the events he encountered were quite fascinating to say the least. The fact that he didn't always follow his own advice made his experiences even more intriguing. His roller coaster ride throughout the entire process presents a clear picture of what one might run into in the on-line dating world. The story is well written, amusing, charming, and enlightening. I was entertained from beginning to end and found it hard to put down. It is a must read for the "not yet over the hill gang".
As a veteran of the i dating scene I found Bob's experiences to be similar to mine. I never reached the numbers he did but certainly made most of the same mistakes and invented more of my own. Staying true to ones principles and heart are tough to do when you are hungry for companionship and ultimately, love. The author approached his dating quest with honesty and expected the same in return, which as we know, is not always the case. The descriptions of these (mis)adventures are entertaining, witty and sometimes heart wrenching, but all are written with straight forward narrative and off beat humor. It could be subtitled "one mans journey through the bizarre world of cyber dating".
I recommend this book to any man contemplating his own entry into the I dating scene.
Loved it because it was a quick read & very interesting mix of women that he dated during this stint. Also nice to read about true experiences. Pretty much confirms why I don't want to try the internet dating circuit even though he had some interesting adventures. Liked the ending.
